... trash or treasure ...

this item I found on the 11th of June 2011, I will never forget any more, at a little village fleemarket near the austrian border, in Hammerau, found in between of nasty household rubbish, up to me it is definitely flabbergasting treasure because it is an original vase from the well-known glass designers brother Daum in Nancy (France) from about 1910, enameled cameo glass, partly acid etched and iridecent - I bought it totally covered with dirt and and dust powder inside from past decades.
I can sent it as mail art too, don't you think so? it is definitely art.

... trash or treasure ? ...

As far as I'm fond of strolling about fleemarkets I will post now once in a while some acquistions here to let you know what I have seen or what I have even bought. In this case I bought it for 50 € cents. Not mail art but it could have been sent as mail art, to see whether it will arrive safe or broken into pieces.
Starting with this glas bowl, 19 cm in diameter, found at the todays fleemarket in Bad Kissingen; a typical american souvenir from the late 1960ies (I would say) the Empire State Building is still mentioned to be the tallest building in the world - it is made by Houze Art, PT. Marion PA, USA.
What do you think, trash or treasure?
